Our Core Values

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Though written by human authors, it was supernaturally guided by the Holy Spirit. We believe the Old and New Testaments are a source of truth and guidance for all aspects of life.  (John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; 5:25)

God

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1:1; 1:26-27; 3:22; Psalm 90:2; Isaiah 40:28-29; John 14:7-16; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, and resurrection. We believe Jesus is the only way to salvation, and that all who turn from sin and trust in Him alone will be saved (Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 1:3-4; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 4:14-15).

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is God's divine helper and guide. He works to reveal Christ, lead people to repentance, and strengthen and comfort believers (John 16:7-13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12; 3:16; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 1:13; 5:25)

Humanity's Sin

We believe that all of humanity fell from God's grace through the sin of the first man, Adam. Because of this, we are all in need of God's forgiveness (Genesis 1:27; Psalm 8:3-6; Isaiah 53:6; 59:1-2; Romans 3:23).

Salvation

We believe that forgiveness and salvation are available to everyone through Jesus Christ. By repenting of sin and placing our faith in Jesus, we are saved. Those who are truly saved will be in the new heaven and earth for eternity, while those who reject Jesus will be separated from God forever—eternally condemned (John 14:6, 15,23-24; Romans 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 3:26; Titus 3:5; Revelation 20:14-15)

Baptism

We believe that baptism by immersion is a public declaration of faith after salvation. It is an act of humility before God and a choice to seek His face and walk His way.  It symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 3:15-17; Acts 2:38; Psalm 27:8; 2 Chronicles 7:14).

The Church

We believe that Christ is the head of the Church, and that we, as baptized believers, are members of His body. Our purpose is to share His life-changing message with others and grow in our relationship with Him (Ephesians 5:22-33; Galatians 5:24-25; 2 Corinthians 11:2; Revelation 19:7-9;21:9;22:17).
