The call to be "fishers of people" and the command to "take up your cross" are two sides of the same coin. The first is our glorious mission; the second is the courageous commitment it requires. Let us embrace both with faith and trust. Our God doesn't call us to a comfortable life, but to a life of incredible purpose. Let us go out together, boldly and lovingly, and share the good news of Jesus Christ with a world desperately in need.
This is not merely a suggestion; it's a profound invitation to join Him in His most important work. Jesus isn’t asking us to be passive bystanders in His Kingdom. He is inviting us to become active partners, transformed from those who simply follow into those who are sent. He provides the purpose, the power, and the promise that when we cast the line of hope, the net of grace, and the message of salvation, we will have a profound impact.
This mission, however, is not without its challenges. Jesus was transparent about the cost of true discipleship.
